Data Warehouse

EVM Data Warehouse represents a so-called integration layer between an operative application database and downstream front-end systems (e.g. MIS systems, OLAP tools, etc.). Users can collect specific data such as business ratios or criteria for analysis (e.g. customer, article, etc.) in variable data structures. This facilitates the integration of operational cost accounting information into company-wide management information systems or reporting tools such as Cognos, EIS, Hyperion and MS-Excel, too.

The EVM Data Warehouse is a new PORTOLAN module, which offers significant advantages for those using downstream applications for centralized reporting or information retrieval.

Benefits:

  • Integration of data from differently structured and distributed databases in order to allow for a global view on source data, and thus to make overall analyses possible.
  • Fast and flexible access to reports, statistics and index numbers
  • The dynamical and flexible information retrieval guarantees a high degree of security since only those data are transferred into Data Warehouse which were defined by the user.
  • The characterization of EVM Data Warehouse is realized through well-structured dialogs, so that ECP key users will be able to provide the EVM Data Warehouse quickly.
