Actual- and Post Calculation of „EVM-ACT“

An internal project named “Lean Cost Control” was started at Neumayer-Tekfor in autumn 2010. In this context, this company decided to implement the Actual- and Post Calculation software “EVM-ACT” of PORTOLAN.

The target was defined clearly. By using EVM-ACT software solution, the increasing complexity caused by the multi-level manufacturing had to be taken into account, on one hand. On the other hand, a high optimization within the calculation processes as well as a significant improvement of the management reporting was desired.

Two weeks after successful project completion, Jürgen Wegener, Business Application Manager at Neumayer-Tekfor which designed and realized the software solution at Neumayer-Tekfor’s location in Hausach, in cooperation with Markus Köster, Principal Consultant at PORTOLAN gives a very positive summary:
“Besides a higher transparency within the calculation processes the availability of the calculation results has been improved considerably and a simplified access and differentiation of the data has been achieved by saving them separately in the cost master. In addition, the very simplified settlement processes result in significantly reduced error rates. With the data pools used in EVM-ACT the aimed improvements in the area of Management Reporting have been achieved completely.
Due to the positive result of the achieved target and the advantage to realize further implementations stand-alone, we have now decided to install EVM-ACT at every location of Neumayer-Tekfor in Germany and abroad”, said Jürgen Wegener finally.

PORTOLAN Commerce Solutions GmbH offers a standard integration from ERP solution INFOR ERP Xpert (XPPS) to its own accounting solution EVM .

A lot of customers in Europe have installed both systems Xpert and EVM and are working successfully with this “best of breed” solution. Of course, 28 country versions for Financial Accounting for international customer locations can be selected in EVM.
