Portolan Commerce Solutions GmbH wins two new customers for SAP Business ByDesign
The Heilbronner Falken GmbH (HEC) is an ice hockey team competing in the 2nd German National League. SAP Business ByDesign will be used for financial- and asset accounting as well as for controlling, customer relationship management (CRM), purchasing, warehouse and invoicing.
Since SAP Walldorf has already developed a large number of club-specific components based on SAP Business ByDesign, such as components for the ice hockey team “San Jose Sharks“ (USA) and for the „Mannheimer Adler“ as well as for the „FC Hoffenheim“, the Heilbronner ice hockey club will take profit from these additional modules in the medium term, too.
The company Uhle Gerüstbau GmbH from Neckarwestheim has decided to install SAP Business ByDesign delivered by PORTOLAN at 6 subsidiaries and 3 affiliate companies. In this context, an integration to the scaffolding system “BAP-XML” will be created which provides industry-specific solutions for scaffolding design, tender preparation, measurement and invoicing. Thus, a complete solution will be created that focuses on software for customer management, finances, warehousing and integrated reporting for scaffolding which will be perfectly tailored to building trade related industries, too.
Since the software of all company locations is hosted centrally on a computer center, the hardware and administration costs will be reduced significantly. The modern web interface provides an access to the system from any place by using a Web Browser. “The workflow-based system allows controlling the assignment of activities between the subsidiaries and the headquarter. Thus, a transparent status of the current construction projects is ensured at any time”, says Peter Uhle, General Manager and owner of Uhle Gerüstbau GmbH.
