Waldmann gives the green light for PORTOLAN EVM in France

Now, the international accounting software of PORTOLAN has been taken into operation at Waldmann’s affiliate in France, too.

Since 2008, Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, situated in Villingen-Schwenningen (Germany) has been using Financial/ Cost Accounting software from PORTOLAN Commerce Solutions GmbH. Besides existing software implementations at the head office in Villingen-Schwenningen, EVM accounting has been entered into operation at Waldmann’s sales companies in the Netherlands and in Singapore, additionally. On April 1st,, 2011, the French affiliate of Waldmann has gone live with the EVM solution, too.

Being a specialist for lighting technology, Waldmann has been relying on the international accounting software EVM of PORTOLAN for many years. Besides existing software implementations at the head office in Villingen-Schwenningen, EVM is used at Waldmann’s locations in the Netherlands and in Singapore, for a longer time. On April 1st, 2011, the French subsidiary WALDMANN ECLAIRAGE S.A.S. has gone live successfully with PORTOLAN financial accounting.
In this project, a special focus was on the administration of means of payment with the specific functionality in handling bills of exchange. The live start in France (according to schedule in time and in budget) was another milestone on the way providing Waldmann an international and as far as possible homogeneous software environment for accounting. Even this year, further steps are planned towards the achievement of this goal. In this respect they already are preparing additional implementations at their locations in Austria and Switzerland.

Waldmann is one of the very early users of PORTOLAN EVM version 8. Since the start, the new EVM Client has been meeting with high approval. High user acceptance and functional power of the software have opened the way to implement the software solution at further locations/countries. In addition, the open and flexible integration layer of PORTOLAN allowed an easy and fast integration of the EVM software solution to the ERP system of Waldmann, which is an industry-oriented individual solution.
